Hi All! I have kind of switched gears here due to some tax considerations, etc. When we went to the tax man last year he told us that I would have to pay taxes on the money the bracelet sales generated, even though I was not keeping the money for myself!! Any way, what I was told to do was start a foundation for the money to flow through and then I wouldn't personnally be taxed on it, and could still have a say in how the money was dispersed. So we created the non-profit "I Will Not Worry" Foundation. I asked seven very dear & competent ladies to sit on the foundation board and help me oversee it. The foundation is funded by the generosity of people like you buying bracelets. About ninety percent of the money from bracelet sales will go to the foundation where it is being distributed to cancer survivors and caregivers that really need the money. The national foundations provide a valuable service but often the money doesn't filter down to the people that really need it - here and now. I know my little foundation can't help the multitudes but I also know for a fact it is directly helping some people that really need it. I call this my "Just Cuz" cause. We help people with groceries, rent, utilities, etc. just cuz it is what we, as our brothers keeper, should do. And people really, really appreciate it and that feels GOOD!
I guess that is all I really wanted to say, other than THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH - your support is so appreciated. I see where the money from your purchases is going and you would be pleased. It does create minor miracles in peoples lives!
